Lab Grown Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds are known by several different names, including synthetic diamonds, man-made diamonds, and cultured diamonds. They have the same physical properties of natural diamonds because they are created in a lab using technology that replicates the natural diamond growing process. A thin slice of diamond is placed in a sealed chamber and heated to around 800 degrees Celsius. The chamber is then filled with a carbon rich gas along with other gases. This slowly builds up into a crystal, atom by atom, layer by layer, until the diamond has grown to the size requested by the customer. Purchasing a lab grown diamond removes any chance of conflict as well as reducing the carbon footprint.
